I will create for you, a selection of unique documentary style images that capture the character and spirit of the people and places that I photograph.

I offer as a minimum:

A free introductory meeting or telephone discussion - to meet you and your team and find out more about your organisation or project; to agree the brief, to run through my terms and rates, confirm dates, location and named contact on the day.

A written proposal in response to your brief which will include a detailed estimate of anticipated costs for the project - the client should agree to the costs and associated terms before proceeding with the contract.

Photoshoot management - I will meet with the named contact at the start of the shoot to go over the brief and check if there are any particular issues I need to be aware of e.g. people not wishing to be photographed, timings for any key photographs etc.

Image transfer and delivery - images are provided digitally and/or in DVD format, according to the type of contract agreed. I can usually provide a small selection of edited images for immediate use e.g. for social media, within 4 hours of the shoot and guarantee to provide high res copies of all images within 3 working days.

My fee for each photographic commission is based on the duration, timing and type of shoot required and the extent of post processing. For example a location shoot of up to half a day, including post production, would cost around £250 depending on the timing and nature of the shoot.

The commission fee includes:

Photographic shoot - dedicated preparation and shoot time as detailed in the project proposal
Post Production - first edit all shoot images; hand proofing - colour balancing, sharpening, cropping where required
File preparation and transfers - contact sheet of first edit images provided digitally.
Digital and print ready final images provided within 3 days of the final shoot day. Next day service can be negotiated for a slight premium.

Licence to use - The Commission Fee includes a non exclusive usage licence of the final images for a set period of time, typically one year. (Please refer to sections 4 & 5 in Terms and Conditions). The client will be able to extend the licence on a per image basis based on media usage, territory and time period, as recommended by the Association of Photographers. All images remain the copyright of Karen Rangeley.

Discount for charities and voluntary organisations - I am committed to working with organisations with a strong social remit and I am happy to offer a 10% discount to charities, voluntary organisations and not for profits.

Please refer to my terms and conditions for full details.

In addition I can offer:

Prints - beautiful high quality prints of images can be produced in-house on high quality photographic paper up to size A2 or outsourced to a reputable Yorkshire Imaging company to any size, framed/mounted as required. Individual quotes supplied.

Photobooks - I am very experienced in creating photo books, and have recently won a major award from the Royal Photographic Society. I would be happy to work with you to create the story of your work, through images and words.

Photofilms - I am very excited to be able to offer a photo film service, bringing together still images and audio based on interviews with your staff and clients. The photo film is a fantastic collaborative way of bringing the voices of the people into your project and even a short 1 minute film, can really add impact to your website.

My resources - I use industry standard film and digital cameras and use Lightroom and Photoshop to post process images. I have a robust back up system to avoid problems of software/hardware failure and to ensure maximum safety of all images captured.
